Slanec Promoted to AssociateNew leadership appointed to support BHC's growing practice.FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 2, 2007 - Dublin, Ohio Bird Houk Collaborative is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Anthony Slanec, Urban Designer, to Associate. Since joining BHC in 2004, Tony has helped to strengthen the firm's urban design practice. With a focus on public-private redevelopment projects, such as the award winning Creekside project in Gahanna, he is committed to improving the urban experience through high quality design and planning practices. Over the past three years, Tony has developed vision studies, urban infill/redevelopment plans, overlay district/design guidelines, public plazas, streetscapes, and gateways for communities such as the City of Gahanna, the City of Columbus, the City of Toledo, the City of Valparaiso (IN), and Northland. His dedication to enhancing the communities he works with through design and his commitment to professional growth and mentorship is an asset to both BHC and its clients. As an associate, Tony will provide senior design leadership for members of BHC's planning and urban design studios and he will assist in growing the firm’s infill/redevelopment expertise. Prior to joining BHC, Tony worked as an urban designer at NBBJ Inc. and Msi Design in Columbus, Ohio. Bird Houk Collaborative is a multidisciplinary firm providing architecture, planning, urban design, landscape architecture, and economics services. Founded in 1993, the firm is located in Dublin, Ohio. |
